Marching together for a peaceful future

Peace is built day by day through small, concrete actions. This is the message we wished to share with the 7,000 students who, on Friday 6 June, took part in the march “On the Path to Peace” from Arezzo to Rondine, experiencing a sense of community designed to encourage socialisation, dialogue, and interaction as tools to imagine a better future. Our company chose to be present at this major event by donating a box to each participant containing the “Origami of Peace”, symbolically conveying the value of commitment and dedication in achieving meaningful goals.
L’origami della pace
Origami is a paper object defined by the challenge and perseverance required to make it, by its harmony and beauty in simplicity, but also by its particular delicacy and fragility. All qualities it shares with peace. Our decision to gift students the “Origami of Peace” was an invitation to reflect on the importance of consistency and daily effort in building and maintaining peace. Every fold of the origami was intended to symbolise a conscious gesture, a small individual contribution which, when combined with those of others, can help shape a different future. This message was also reflected in the “challenge” we included in the kit: to bring the origami to life with slow, deliberate movements, as a reminder that peace – like the balance of origami – depends on calm, dedication, and perseverance. A practical and symbolic exercise, then, to encourage young people to actively reflect on the value of peace as a continuous process made up of daily actions, dialogue, and shared responsibility.
La nostra vicinanza a Rondine
The march “On the Path to Peace”, which concluded with a meeting with President Sergio Mattarella, was the opening event of the international festival on conflict, YouTopic Fest 2025, organised by Rondine Cittadella della Pace, just outside Arezzo. The event offers, year after year, initiatives dedicated to dialogue and exchange, with the aim of reflecting on how every conflict can be transformed into an opportunity for personal and collective growth to be placed at the service of the common good. This is a goal we deeply share, and it is what inspired our company to fully support this initiative, recognising in Rondine’s work a concrete example of education for peace, active citizenship, and the building of a future based on respect and collaboration between people.
