With Chimet, a taxi can save your life
Cardiological care on the move in the city of Arezzo.
Together with the Taxi Arezzo cooperative, we have provided three taxis with automatic external defibrillators, as part of an innovative project to improve the safety of citizens, tourists and passengers. The initiative aims to boost the presence of these important life-saving tools to encourage timely and efficient intervention in the event of a heart attack or cardiac arrest, with equipment and expertise always available throughout the territory. "An initiative that represents a solid example of how different forms of collaboration can generate value for the entire community", explained Simone Chierici, councillor for productive activities for the municipality of Arezzo. - "Thanks to the commitment and generosity of Chimet and the Taxi Arezzo cooperative, the city now has a new mobile cardiac emergency service that can make a real difference in the most critical moments".
"With Chimet, a taxi can save your life" is the slogan of an initiative that has demonstrated our company's commitment and care for the local area. The three taxis equipped with defibrillators will be clearly identifiable by a luminous sign with the symbol "Taxi-DAE" to ensure availability and visibility in an emergency. The equipment has already been mapped by the 118 emergency services to create a rapid response network to be activated in emergency situations, which is often crucial in saving a life. "The project aims to make a practical contribution to cardiological safety", reiterated our CEO Luca Benvenuti, "with an initiative that has great social importance for public health. Taxis are vehicles that are constantly on the move and can reach every corner of the country faster than other means of transport: having a defibrillator on board could make all the difference in emergency situations".
A further objective of the project is related to the promotion of a culture of safety: the "Taxi-DAE" will also become a tool for raising awareness among the population about the importance of a firm commitment to developing health and preventive measures, consolidating and expanding the cardiological protection network in an area that is already particularly proactive. "Together with Chimet", concluded Pietro Fazzuoli, president of Taxi Arezzo, "we have introduced an innovative model for the protection of public health. Cardiac arrest can happen at any time and in any place: we will be ready and waiting with the equipment and expertise to make our contribution whenever it is needed".
